The thread size on the Valterra RV Water Tank # R8012 is 3/8" male pipe threads (MPT).

The Ultra Faucets drinking faucet, part #277-000189, does fit a line of about a 1/4 inch. Your plastic line feeds into the braided line on the faucet and is held in place with a compression nut.

Hey Robert, the 6 gallon water tank part #R8012 that you referenced has ports that can be drilled out so that you can add fill or drain holes in several locations like you are wanting.
