Recommended Installation Spot For The 6-Pole Socket On A 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question:

I am installing the e98948 base plate on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It comes with the mount for the 6 wire plug but your installation video does not show its installation. Where do you recommend it be installed? Thank you

Typically the 6-pole socket holder is screwed into the crosstube of the baseplate # e98948 but with this specific one the plastic bumper really covers a large area and wouldn't look great, so most of the installers will typically cut out a small portion of the grill for the socket to pass through and zip-tie it in place. This allows it to be pretty much hidden and is easy in terms of installation.

That being said you can pretty much screw it to anything you want to, but will want to keep it near the center of the vehicle to avoid issues with the cable that runs between your motorhome and vehicle from being too short or too long for turns and getting damaged.
