Can Motorcycle Use Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller

I have never pulled a Trailer and thus have no plugs at this time. I was thinking about hydraulic surge brakes at first but electric would be a lot simpler. I would have to add the actual electric brakes to the trailer wheels too.
