Question:
Is the plumbing on the Dometic replacement AT94022 in the same place so I do not have to redo the water lines

Expert Reply:
Dometic has slowly phased out the Atwood line of water heaters so the AT94022 is no longer available. That being said every company is switching to tankless options since they are the superior option when it comes to performance. I personally recommend switching to the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR.
The water inlets are spaced differently than your old Atwood GC10A-4E but the difference in quality will be well worth the extra work. Your Atwood has a BTU rating of 8,800 whereas the # FR98SR has a BTU rating of 60,000. The thermostat allows you to dial in to a specific temperature instead of a just a knob with an arrow on it.
For the installation I do recommend picking up some butyl tape # AL28FJ and Non-Sag Sealant # AL28KV to properly seal the exterior door to the outside of your RV.
