Will the 2” hitch be compatible with aftermarket exhaust?

The 2" EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7375 was designed with the stock exhaust in mind for your 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI. As this receiver mounts to the rear frame at the rear bumper I do not see any reason an aftermarket exhaust would interfere with this receiver since it is completely hidden behind the rear fascia and does not mount where the exhaust mounts.

I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56405 when you install the receiver. This is custom fit for your GTI and will be much easier to install when the rear fascia is removed. This will give you a 4-way flat for the lights on small trailer you tow. And will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 on a hitch mounted accessory that impairs the view of your taillights while driving.
