Question:
Hello, the 2021 Tiffin I specified has a hitch capacity of 5,000lbs and a tow capacity of 10,000lbs. So does that mean that tow capacity matches the lowest component of 5,000lbs? If so could I change out the hitch to a Class IV and get to the full 10,000lb tow capacity?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you are correct. You will want to go by the capacity of the lowest rated component to determine what your Tiffin Allegro Red has the ability to tow.
We don't offer a custom hitch for your 2021 Tiffin Allegro Red 340 38LL, so you will need to use a weld-on universal hitch.
I recommend the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch item # C37CR if the frame members are between 18" and 44" wide. If your frame is spaced wider, then you will want to use the Curt # C97CR which fits frame spreads up to 62".
Both of these hitches are class 5 with a 2-1/2" receiver.
