Question:
I bought a new Chevy truck that has the factory puck system. My question is I have a single point BandW hitch that I used on my old truck that has just the goose neck hookup. Can I use the single point base in my truck with the puck system or do I need to change my base?

Expert Reply:
The base will have to change as there's no way to attach the B and W Companion hitches that use the gooseneck post to the OEM pucks of your new Chevy truck. The correct base you'd need is the part # BWRVB3710 but another option you might consider is to replace the entire hitch with the # BWRVK3710 as that would more easily give you ability to sell your old hitch secondhand since a complete hitch would be easier to sell than just a base.
