Will the male connector work with a high pressure 5lp connection? If not, can you recommend one of your products that will?

I took a look at the 5LP connection you referenced, and it appears that MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose - Model 250 Quick-Disconnect x Disposable Cylinder Port # 100476-72-MBS is actually not going to work for you.
Instead, take a look at the Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 37207-31225.
This 6' propane hose has the quick-disconnect connection needed for your 5LP connection, as well as another 1/4" male quick disconnect connection.
