Will Aftermarket Hitch for 1997 Chevy Silverado Fit with Aftermarket Dual Exhaust
Published 09/16/2022 >
Question:
Hello, I’m looking at getting a hitch for my 1997 Chevy Silverado. Currently I’ve got standard factory single exhaust but will be looking at dual exhaust in the future. Do most of the hitches offered for this truck on your site allow for dual exhaust unless otherwise noted? Thanks

The hitches that we carry for your 1997 Chevy Silverado pickup, like the etrailer # e29KR, are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the factory and the installation notes and tips on our site will reflect that.
With that being said, our trailer hitch has a straight crosstube design so if the dual exhaust you're looking at sits at the same level as your current exhaust on both sides I don't see why this would be an issue or cause for concern.
Attached is a link to the installation instructions for you to check out and compare to your truck.
