I really like the P3 part # 90195 brake controller and would recommend it for your truck. It has the best inertia sensor for determining how hard you are applying the truck brakes to then stop the trailer with same intensity, has the most flexibility in how it can mount, is very reliable, and unlike the other Prodigy models it has a screen that uses full words for messages instead of codes and also has ability to save trailer presets.
I would need to know what year Silverado you have to pick out the correct install harness for it.
