Question:
Hi! I recently purchased a Westin Sportsman grill guard Item # 40-3825 from etrailer, which my wife and I love, for our 2017 Toyota 4Runner. We are planning on adding a pair of off-road lights. I wanted to confirm that the Westin off-road lights part # 09-05051 come with all the necessary wiring, wiring harness, a lighted switch, etc. for the install. I gather from the install video - which is excellent by the way - I need maybe a half-dozen heat-shrink butt connectors Item # DW05744-5 and perhaps a few feet of wire loom Item # 459075-1. Is the fuse tap Firestone Fuse Circuit Tap Kit, Item # F2526 required? I am having a professional do the install. Also, if there are any other parts I need to get these lights installed on our grill guard, by all means please let me know. Thank you.

Thanks for your purchase of the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-3825 for your 2017 Toyota 4Runner!
In order to install the MaxxTow Off-Road Lights # MT80637-2 on the grill guard you need a power source, wiring, a switch, and some connectors.
For the power source I do recommend using the Firestone Fuse Circuit Tap Kit # F2526 because it will help to protect your wiring. If you don't go this route then you'll have to place a fuse or circuit breaker on a power wire that's hooked up to your battery.
For wiring I recommend 16 Gauge Wire # 16-1-1. You need enough to reach from each light to the fuse tap kit and then enough for each light to reach a suitable ground source. Since the lights are close enough you can definitely combine them so you aren't running as many wires.
I recommend using the rocker switch # 37212595 which is labeled so it'll be easy to know if power is being sent to your lights (although you should be able to see if they're on or off pretty easily).
For everything else I do recommend picking up the Wire Loom # 459075-1, Butt Connectors # DW05744-5, a Ring Terminal # DW05737-1, and a Self-Tapping Screw # FA1131822 for your ground.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
