How to Determine the Correct Sized Replacement Winch Strap

Question:

What size replacement boat trailer winch strap? Boat is approx. 3500 lbs loaded. I have a 20 foot Continteal trailer with carpeted bunks. Thanks

The Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook # DL24251 has a breaking strength of 4,800 lbs. which is the highest we have. It fits hand winches with a capacity up to 3,200 lbs. (the strap rating must be 150% of the winch rating). Whether this strap works for you will depend on the weight rating of your winch.

If your winch is rated for 3,200 lbs. then you can use the Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook # DL24251, other wise you will want to find a strap that is 150% of your winches rating.
