The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider part # RP30051 is what I recommend for a 2011 Ram 3500 Short Bed Diesel. In order to install this hitch you'll need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50140-58 which is a no frame drill option.
The Reese 30049 5th Wheel Hitch is an older model which has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
