I HAVE A 2006 DODGE MEGA CAB WITH 6 FT BED. WILL AN OLDER 2005 REESE 30071 HITCH FIT YOUR RP30074 MOUNTING BRACKET. THANK YOU.

Reese Replacement Hardware Kit # RP30074F is not a complete 5th wheel installation kit, just a replacement hardware kit. For an industry-standard 5th wheel hitch base rail installation kit confirmed to fit your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega cab, I recommend the custom-fit kit # RP50140-58 from Reese. This kit will take less time to install than a semi-custom kit like # RP30035-023, which requires frame drilling.
This kit includes industry-standard rails (ISRs), under-bed brackets and all hardware required for installation. So long as your Reese hitch is designed for ISRs then it will fit fine in these rails. Please note I could not find anything regarding item 30071 on the Reese website.
If you need a wiring harness for your truck, you can use part # HM42137 from Bargman.
