Can You Use a 3.50"-16" Tire on a Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer Instead of a 3.25"-16"Tire

Question:

I need to replace the stock 3.25-16 tires, is it a good fit to replace tires with 3.50-16 tires, or will this cause a problem?

I contacted the manufacturer about replacing the 3.25"-16" tires on your Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer with 3.50"-16" tires. They recommend that you continue to use the Replacement Tire for Wheel on Yakima Rack and Roll Trailers # Y8880282 which is the 3.25"-16".

They also said that if the wider tire doesn't rub anything, it may work. But that there is no guarantee that it would work and it would not be covered by warranty.
