Question:

I will be purchasing a 2006 Yakima Rack and Roll trailer that will need tires replaced. Are these items compatible with the 2006 model? Can I buy these two items: 8880282 Replacement Tire for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer Wheels Item # Y8880282 8880283 Replacement Inner Tube for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer Wheels Item # Y8880283 Or do I need to buy the complete tire and rim? Will this be compatible with 2006 model? 8008121 Spare Tire with 5 Spoke Rim for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer Item # Y08121 If I can buy the tire and inner tube, can I install it myself or do I need to have a professional do it? Thanks!

Yes. You can get the tire # Y8880282 you referenced and inner tube # Y8880283 if you want the spare parts but you can also replace a complete wheel with the Spare Tire with 5 Spoke Rim for Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08121. A 2 pack of these wheels is available with part # 8880157 and they will be compatible with the older Rack and Roll trailers.

You don't need to buy the complete wheel and tire and the mounting process is similar to that of a bicycle or motorcycle tire. If you're experienced in this type of work then you should be able to complete the repairs without any issues.
