Brake controllers are not vehicle specific so you can use the Curt Venturer # C74VV. If your 2012 Dodge Ram came with a factory 4- or 7-Way trailer connector then you would also need wiring harness # C51438. This harness will plug into a connector on the truck. The trucks connector is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
If the truck just has a 4-Way you will need to add a 7-Way using # 37185, about 20 feet of # 10-2-1 wire (sold in 1 foot increments), and a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54540.
If your truck does not have a trailer connector then you will not need harness # C51438. You will then need to install a 4-Way first using # 18252. Then you would need to install 4- and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation that you can also use parts of for the installation if the truck just has a 4-Way.
