Question:

Hello I have an ALLEN Deluxe 3-Bike Trunk Mount Rack on my Toyota Rav 4 XLE. And was looking to attach this part #C18152 to my 2 inch receiver. Would you know if I would have clearance for the items on the cargo carrier and/or any weight load issues with both attached? I have a 2013 Toyota Rav 4 XLE, and my question was can I use part #C18013 along with an attached Curt cargo carrier with 2 inch hitch. The description indicates the part can be attached to a ball mount hitch so I wasnt sure if this would work? Essentially Im trying to carry 3 bikes with a cargo carrier.

The 3-bike ball mount rack won't work on the cargo carrier, and while it's possible you can use a 3-bike trunk mount rack and 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18152 there are too many variables to give you an absolute yes/no answer.

If your bikes are large, or you have cargo that sticks up out of the carrier any significant distance then there will be interference. But for a small amount of cargo and smaller bikes you should be able to use the # C18152.

To secure it to your hitch you need either Pin and Clip # C21510 or Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232.

The only way I know for certain you can carry three bikes and use a cargo carrier is with a roof rack and roof-mounted bike racks. Your 2013 Toyota RAV4 would need to have raised side rails, and then you would be able to add the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215 with either the fork-mount Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier # S64710 or wheel mount Malone Pilot Roof Mounted Bike Rack # MPG2103.
