Replacement Furrion Vision S Camera for Yellowed Lens
Updated 07/21/2022 | Published 07/20/2022 >
Question:
I installed a Furrion Vision S camera 2 years ago. Today, the image looks as if the camera lens has been smeared with Vaseline. Its out of warranty and Furrion indicates the fix is to buy a new camera. I paid a premium to get the Furrion system and I most certainly expected it to last more than 2 years. Is this problem unique? Is there a process to polish the lens?

The image quality diminishing over time is a common issue. What usually happens is the camera lens will get dirty and yellow over time which will begin to cause the image to get less sharp and the image quality to diminish. This sounds like the Vaseline effect you are dealing with. Before you replace the camera I recommend attempting to polish the lens and see if that helps your picture. If you are out of warranty and Furrion is telling you to replace the camera there aren't any other options. Polishing it may help and get you some more time with the camera or completely destroy your lens and you're back at the same place. We do not have any polish specifically for this purpose or recommendations on how to fix the problem. You could attempt to use the stuff they clean up head lights with because the yellowing process sounds similar.
If you end up needing to replace the camera for your Furrion Vision S system you will need item # FCN48TASF.
