Question:
2018 silverado 1500 5.3 4x4. What is the best programmer for towing? Would like to continue to use 87 octane fuel. Plug and play would also be nice. Looking for power and mileage. i have a KandN air intake mod. Thank you.

The best tuner to use when towing with your 2018 Silverado 1500 5.3L engine is the Edge Gas Evolution CTS3 Performance Tuner # EP49YR. This tuner simply plugs into your OBDII port without any hardwiring/splicing wires. It definitely provides you with extra horsepower/torque needed to tow or haul heavy loads. It also comes with options to improve mileage such as fuel injection timing. Here are the available power levels for your truck/engine:
2. 10 additional HP/15 additional pounds of torque
3. 16 additional HP/20 additional pounds of torque
There is one higher level of power, but it does require E85 Flex Fuel. If you ever choose to use this fuel, you can get up to 50 HP and 50 additional pounds of torque with the # EP49YR. As far as your modded air intake, this won't be an issue with the tuner as long as it is installed similarly to a factory air intake.
I went ahead and attached a demo video that outlines more features of the tuner.
