Question:
Your expert claims the SHP2040-XL anti-rattle pin fits 3inch inch hitches but the spec clearly says 2 1/2inch hitches. What should I believe ??
asked by: Jon.
Expert Reply:
The XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # SHP2040-XL has an inside pin length of 3-7/8". While it was designed to be used with 2-1/2" receivers you can also use it with 3" receivers that meet the 3-7/8" overall width requirements. The hitch must have a hollow shank for the anti-rattle device.
Otherwise we have the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer for 3" Hitches # BLU85QR that can be used with a solid shank hitch.
