Question:

Looking for a plug option for my 2022 Subaru Outback have a 4-blade plug I got from you when I installed my hitch. Now I need either a 5- way or 7 plug to use with my boat because of the brakes locking up in reverse. I got a 4- way to 5- way Curt adapter but cannot find the reverse wire in the rear to splice it to. Wondered if there is a plug for what I need that will fit into the vehicles factory harness where my current 4-way plug is installed ? Thanks

Since the wiring for the reverse lights on your 2022 Subaru Outback are in the rear hatch door you will need to access the wiring where it travels from the hatch door into the vehicle. The best way to identify the correct wire is with a Test Light # PTW2993. This will allow you to tap the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57187 into your reverse light circuit. Then you will be able to run the wiring down to your 4-Way Harness # 118467 you already installed. You may need to remove some of the roof trim to route the wire behind the paneling in your Outback.
