I have a 2022 RAM 2500 short bed and plan on towing a 5th wheel with it. What is the best cover for this application? Thanks

The best tonneau cover for a truck like your 2022 Ram 2500 that will be towing a fifth wheel trailer will be a retractable one. This is because it doesn't add store the cover above the bed rail when it's opened which would potentially cause clearance issues between it and the trailer over hang and it won't obstruct vision if you were to look out the back window when towing.

So for a retractable tonneau that fits your truck I would recommend the Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-KRD7833 because it has a smaller canister it stores the cover in and also because unlike some other option it can open partially at 12 inch intervals. Most retractable covers are either completely open or completely closed but this one allows you to partially open it.
