Replacement Motor for Kwikee RV Steps with Part Number 300-1406

Question:
I have an RV with the 2010 Lippert Coach Step LCI # 163033 which is no longer made or supported. The mechanism clunks and hesitates extending or retracting and jumps like it is jumping gears in the mechanism. It does ultimately fully extend and retract. There are no obvious teeth missing on the external gear so it could be within the motor unit or perhaps a controller issue but that does not explain the mechanical clunking. Does Lippert/Kwikee offer a motor/gear box/linkage/controller upgrade kit which is designed to support this step?

Based on the number I can see on the side of your RV motor 300-1406 the correct replacement motor is the part # LC301695. Based on what you described hearing this would be correct solution for your problem as well.
