What is the best way to get the motor and controller out when the step is stuck in the up position? Thank you.

In regards to Kwikee Electric RV Steps, if you remove the gear linkage from the step this should then allow you to move the steps freely making it easier to access the motor and replace as needed with one like the Replacement Lippert Components 5:1 Gearbox With Motor for RV Steps part # LC62FR.
