Is Thule Helium Platform Bike Rack Compatible with Bike with Front and Back Fenders

Question:

I have a Specialized Vado SL SE eBike. Im interested in the Thule Helium bike rack. My eBike has fenders and a carrier rack over the rear tire. Will the racheting wheel loops be able to clear a rear wheel carrier rack on this Thule model.

The Thule Helium is a great rack but unfortunately will not work for your Specialized Vado SL SE eBike since it has the full fender and cargo carrier on the back side so we need to go with a frame-mount bike rack and for that I recommend checking out the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT # TH92BJ. This uses wheel cradles and straps to keep your bike on them and then a frame hook that comes down over the top tube on your bike. The weight rating for this rack is 35 lbs per bike and from what I was finding your bike weighs in at 33 lbs so it will be perfect - although I do recommend verifying your bike weight on your end as well.

If you'd like to keep the clamps from directly touching your bike frame I recommend picking up the Frame Protector # TH984101 from Thule. This is designed for the sensitive Carbon frames but can be used for many different applications including yours.
