Recommended Landing Gear Replacement For A 2008 Weekend Warrior CR3705 Fifth Wheel Trailer

Updated 05/30/2022 | Published 05/27/2022

Question:

What would be the part number for a dual motor set up in stead of RVLG-8000 which is a single motor set-up? It appears the measurements would work for my 2008 Weekend Warrior CR3705, but I would like to run dual motors. Also, do you have any recommendations other than a dual motor set up that would be a direct replacement? Ive heard a ton of good things about Ultra Fab but not sure that they offer a direct replacement for my WW. Thanks

There is not a dual motor option for the etrailer Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 but we do offer another dual motor option besides the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010; which would be the Reese Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set # RP500708. As for either being a direct replacement you'll need to measure the weld-stops on your current landing gears.

Both of these landing gears have a 15-1/2" distance from bottom of upper weld stop to top of lower weld stop and a 17-1/2" distance from top of upper weld stop to bottom of lower weld stop.

The Reese # RP500708 has an 8,000lb combined capacity and the Ultra-Fab # UF17-943010 has a 12,000lb combined capacity, which is a bit overkill for your 2008 Weekend Warrior CR3705.

The Reese has 9" of travel per minute and the Ultra-Fab has 4" of travel per minute. Of the two I recommend the Reese # RP500708 because of the quicker travel speed.
