Question:
How do I remove a stripped/damaged stud from the hub?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If the studs on your hub are drive-in studs, the most common method for removing the studs is by driving them out with a hammer. If you have a hub with an integrated drum or rotor, I recommend putting the hub flat on the ground before driving out the stud. Most trailer hubs use drive-in studs.
If you have screw-in studs, I recommend using a pair of vice grips on the exposed part of the stud and try to unscrew the studs from the hub.
If you find the studs to be too difficult to drive out or unscrew, you could try heating the studs first.
