Question:
Hello, I’m trying to find a 2” hitch for my Impreza. It looks like the only 2” option is for the STI and WRX here: EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" item # 306-X7261 Also on your site? My question is this, any reason to believe this wouldn’t work for a regular 5 door impreza for 2008? Thank you!

I checked with Torklift and the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 306-X7261 will only fit Impreza's with the quad exhaust. For your 2008 Subaru Impreza 5 door with single exhaust you are going to be limited to a 1-1/4" hitch like the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver item # DT24959. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Subaru's frame with included hardware. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs tongue weight. You will want to confirm with your owner's manual or local dealership but it looks like your Subaru's towing capacity is 2,000 lbs. This hitch will allow you to get all of the towing capacity out of your car. I have linked an installation video below.
For a compatible wiring harness I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C56111. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. It will provide you with a 4-flat vehicle connector.
For a ball mount you'd need the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593 and then for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
