How Many Bolts Are Required For Mounting The Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box

Question:

In order to get clearance, I have adjusted king pin box down! The problem is the front had three bolts and rear has two bolts! Not that I have it in place there is on 2 bolts in the front. How do I fix this or check for spec’s to see if this is okay?

You'll need to have three bolts in the front and two bolts in the back of your Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 to prevent any flex in the mounting ears of your trailer's frame. This means you'll need to move the pin box back up to allow for the third front bolt.

If possible I recommend raising your 5th wheel hitch's height or to replace your hitch with one that has a larger maximum height to increase your nose to bedrail clearance.
