Installation of Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty on 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio With CAN Bus System

Question:

Wanting to install Liberty Brake Controller on 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Pretty sure it has a CAN Bus system. How do I find wiring info to do this?

The only thing recommended outside of the normal installation process for the # RED24FR for a vehicle with a CAN bus system is the 30-Amp Circuit Breaker Kit for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, Classic, and Liberty Trailer Brake Controllers # 331-CBK30-EB. This will protect your vehicle's wiring by preventing overloads. See the wiring diagram below. You will also need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED69FR to install the Liberty.

Since it looks like you only have a 4-way with the # 118777, you are also going to need to upgrade to a 7-way in order to be able to install a brake controller. For this you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else you need to add a 7-way to your 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

I have attached some installation videos on different vehicles so you can see what the process is like along with the written instructions.
