I see the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7332 that you looked at is for a 2015 Volkswagen Golf Type R. For the Type R or GTI you will need the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This harness will give you a 4-way flat wiring connector.
If you do not have the Type R then the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7309 is the receiver that fits the base Golf and GTI versions. And the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118646 will give you the 4-way flat wiring connector on the trims excluding Type R and GTI.
The etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches # 989900 will provide you with 2 different height ball mounts, along with a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball to fit multiple trailers.
If you are using the receiver for a bike rack or other hitch mounted accessory I recommend some Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if it interferes with the view of your tail lights.
