Overall the movement in a Titan Model 6 surge brake actuator is going to be minimal. You will have around 1" - 1-1/2" of travel with the actuator to trigger the master cylinder. The master cylinder like the Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly for Titan Model 6 Brake Actuators # T1777405 then supplies the necessary hydraulic pressure to engage the trailer's brakes.

The Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly for Titan Model 6 Brake Actuators # T1777405 itself doesn't really move, but there is a rod that pushes into the master cylinder causing it to activate the brakes. You can adjust the rod to cause your brakes to come on more quickly or slowly.
