Question:

Hello We are purchasing a 2022 Jayco Pinnacle 32RTLs 5th wheel. The trailer will be pulled by a 2020 Chevrolet 3500 HD diesel standard box. We are looking at replacing the the standard pin box on the Fifth wheel with a new Generation Y pin box. Although I would prefer to use the M5 Reece hitch, I just do not think I will have the clearance to perform tight turns. Looking at the 21 K Demo highjacker slider will this hitch be compatible with the Gen Y Pin box? and do I need a special adapter plate for this proposed fifth wheel towing system. Thank you

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitchs like part # DM8550035 are compatible with the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Boxes like part # 325-GH-8040 which fits a Lippert 1621 pattern. That said, you will need an adapter for this, the Gen-Y Capture Plate part # GY98FR but that will be all. This is a great combo which provides both cab clearance and a cushioned ride.

Please note, in order to use the Demco Hijacker on a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with OEM Prep Pkg you'll also need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6333.
