Greetings, I am interested in purchasing a Curt class 3 trailer hitch for my 2022 Hyundai Palisade. It did not come with the factory tow package so I am hoping to get some help figuring out what wiring I need to also purchase with the hitch to accommodate a 7 pin wiring harness. The intention is to tow an RV trailer.

When it comes to installing a towing package on your 2022 Hyundai Palisade I first would recommend The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # C13427.
This hitch was assembled in the USA and has a gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat which offers superior rust resistance. The hitch is a bolt-on installation with no welding required.
When it comes to the trailer wiring you would need The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # CU94FR. This wiring has a simple plug and play install that plugs in underneath the vehicle on the drive side coming out with a 4 flat plug. To make your 4 flat plug into a 7 round plug you need The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. This kit allows your 4 flat to become a 7 round plug and a 4 flat plug giving you both options to tow a trailer. With this part it also has three wires that you will need to run. The black goes to the battery, The white wire is the ground wire, and The blue wire goes to the brake controller.
To finish the package you will need the brake controller. I recommend The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller - Proportional/Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED24FR and # RED69FR. This controller has a hidden design where only the knob is visible in the vehicle. The controller will make it to where your trailer brakes match up with your vehicle's brakes and they will stop at the same time.
