Weight Distribution for Grand Design Imagine 21BHE Towed 2017 Ram 1500

Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Crew cab long box with 3:21 rear. I will be pulling a Grand design Imagine 21BHE. Do I need a WD hitch? If so which model do you recommend? The camper is pretty light. 4700LBS with 456LBS on the tongue. This is empty weight. I am looking for something reasonable in price and was leaning towards FA94-00-0800 Your thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

While your Grand Design Imagine 21BHE is lighter weight it does weigh more than half the weight of your tow vehicle so a weight distribution system will be a great idea and I would recommend you go with one. You'll have better ride quality, handling, and braking so it will be worth it. Based on the weights you mentioned the Fastway kit you are wanting part # FA94-00-0800 would work really well so that would be a solid choice as well.
