There are 5 basic components needed to flat tow any vehicle, the Base Plate Kit, Tow-Bar, Safety Cable, Wiring Solution and Supplemental Braking. Some vehicle set-ups require additional parts to supplement the basic items. Such as a high/low adapter to adjust the tow bar height or additional electrical items.

For the 2022 Ford Maverick:

- Base Plates, Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, # RM97RR

- Tow Bar, Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar, # RM-676
This comes with the needed safety cables

- Wiring solution, Towing Combo Kit, # RM-9284-2 and the Charge Line Kit, # RM-156-25

- Supplemental Braking, Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO, # DM86VR
Unless you have air brakes, then I suggest the Demco Air Force One, # DM26VR

We always suggest that you refer to your vehicle specific owners manual before attempting to flat tow and ensure you follow manufacturer's guidelines. It is important that the installed tow bar sets within +/- 3" of being level otherwise excessive wear can occur to the vehicles suspension system and tires. Attached is an article that walks you through how to determine if a high/low adapter is needed and how to best make that selection if so. According to Roadmaster, the base plate kit will sit 15" above the ground.
