Expert Reply:
The Saris Door County Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - Electric Lift - 2" Hitches # SAR42RR works on a Dodge Ram 1500 as long as you have a 2" hitch installed, a 7-way wiring harness installed, and have enough rear bumper clearance. If you have a 2" hitch installed, there is a way that you can measure your setup to make sure you have rear bumper clearance. From the center of your hitch's pinhole, measure the length to the outside face of the rear bumper. If that measurement is less than 7-1/2", you are good to go! The Door County works with bikes up to 3 inches wide and up to a 48" wheelbase from axle to axle.
If you need a 2" hitch and wiring harnesses for your 1500, feel free to reply with your model year of your truck and I will be happy to recommend the parts you need.
