Can Saris Door County Bike Rack be Used on Vehicle that Has 4-Way

Im interested in the Saris Door County rack for our two e-bikes. We have a 2016 Ford Flex with, supposedly, the tow package option. It has the 2inch hitch receiver and a 4 pin connector next to the hitch. I see the rack has a 7 pin connector so my concern is how to make the connection so everything works. Thanks.

Hey Jay, so this is a really great question but basically to get the full functionality of the Saris Door County Bike Rack # SAR42RR you will need to convert your 4-way to a 7-way which we can also help with. This is because the 7-way connector has a 12 volt accessory circuit that allows the power functions of the rack to work that a 4-way does not have ability to provide.
So what you need is the kit part # ETBC7L which comes with everything needed to convert to a 7-way as well as wire up that 12 volt accessory circuit as needed.

So is wiring up the 12 volt accessory circuit something I can do or do I need to take it somewhere to have it done. I'm fairly handy in general but don't know much about car electrics.
