Does Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier Fit 3 Inch Wide Crossbars

Question:
Hi. Question about the Malone Seawing kayak saddle carriers. 1 My Volvo crossbars are 3" wide. Will this fit? I have read concern that the clamp attachments are narrow and may not fit on wider bars although they claim fit on most crossbars. If not, good alternative? thx

Yes, 3 inch wide crossbars are absolutely compatible with, and will allow you to mount, the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG107MD.
Three inches is only a bit narrower (by 1/8") than most aftermarket bars like those from Thule and Yakima, and in fact, the Malone aero crossbars are 3" as well, and the SeaWing # MPG107MD fits all of those crossbars.
The SeaWing is a nice choice for a kayak carrier as it is really easy to use and comes with the needed tie-downs so you don't have to make any additional purchases.
