Which Blue Ox Weight Distribution System for Towing 2022 Grand Design Transcend 231RK
Published 04/14/2022 >
Question:
Hello. We are in process of purchasing a 2022 grand design transcend 231rk and need to buy our weight dist/sway system. Our trailer Gvwr is 7495, uvw 6120. We dont know tongue weight yet but based upon info Ive read, we should estimate 10- 15 of approx fully loaded trailer dont know yet so were basing on gvwr + any weight behind rear axle of T.V. which is a 2010 Silverado 2500. Is that correct? Dealer is telling us Blueox SwayPro WD with sway for 8,000 lbsItem# BXW0750 is enough, BUT we think the SwayPro 10,000 lbs, Item BLU66FR would be better and offer a safety cushion. Which system would be better suited?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Between the two kits you mentioned the Blue Ox part # BLU66FR definitely is the better choice based on tongue weight range. Your tongue weight is easily going to fall within the range of this kit which is 750 to 1,000 lbs.
