Question:

I am replacing the spare tire and wheel on a boat trailer. Is the AM3S440 Kenda tire a suitable replacement for the Kenda B78-13T tire Load Range B? If not, please recommend the appropriate replacement tire for the 14 inch white wheel, 5 holes 4 1/2 inch across. Thanks in advance.

You want all of your tires to be the same whether they are installed on the trailer or will be used as a spare. The Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire with 14" White Wheel # AM3S440 you're looking at is a bit larger than your B78-13T tires so we need to find you a 175/80-13 tire instead.

For your application I recommend going with the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM3S060 as the galvanized finish protects the best against water and this has a Load Range B which means it it will have the same ride quality as your current tires. If you want the white wheel instead you'll be looking at part # AM3S050.
