Will this Work on a 2016 f150 5.0 v8?

For your 2016 Ford F-150 with the 5.0 V8 you will need either the Curt Front Mount Receiver # C31083 or Draw-Tite Front Mount Receiver # 65067. The EcoHitch # 306-X7904 that you found only fits the 2017-2022 Ford F-250/F-350.

I recommend the Curt Front Mount Receiver # C31083 as it is rated for up to 500lbs of vertical weight, 9,000lbs of line pull capacity and will allow you to move a trailer up to 5,000lbs. The Draw-Tite is not rated for moving trailers with the receiver.

The Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover # 63080 can be used to eliminate the whistle that often comes from a front receiver on the highway. I like using a WeatherTech BumpStepXL # WT81BS1XL as it makes it easier to work under the hood.
