Question:

Hi I am considering a front hitch for my 2023 Chevy Trailboss. I like the one that sits right below the license plate but am concerned about cutting the plastic. Would it be possible to send the instructions so I can see what is recommended? I’m hoping to save my wife’s and my sanity as we do a lot of backing at the boat launch and we are not that good at it!! Thanks

Hey Dale. Unfortunately, EcoHitch does not make their installation instructions available online. There's only one front hitch that fits the 2023 Chevy 1500 Trailboss. It's the EcoHitch Hidden Front Hitch item # EH25HR.

The EcoHitch Hidden Front Hitch item # EH25HR will fit all four engine options that were offered for the 2023 Trailboss including the 2.7L Turbo and the 3.0L Duramax diesel. It mounts below the front trim like the pictures I attached below so you don't have to worry about cutting through the plastic.

I had to notch the lower air-dam plastic around the 2" receiver tube for my install. Not a big deal. On the pictures above it looks like they've removed the lower air-dam entirely, an option I considered but rejected.

Thanks for the info. It’s a bit confusing to me. It looks like one of the hitches is installed below the plastic piece which I don’t want to do as I need the clearance in the winter. Then one photo looks like the plastic is removed and hitch looks higher? Thanks
