Can I use this combo tube for a hitch extension.My stock receiver is 21/2 in.by 7 in. long my towing capacity is 9500 lbs 2011 gmc 2500 quad cab. The extension would be hanging out 11 in. the I would install my trailer hitch

We have a similar 7 inch long 2-1/2 inch hitch extender with the part # HR26 but that would work for you but we can't recommend using the part # C49511 as it hasn't been tested in this application. You should note that hitch extenders like this cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent.
