For a wiring harness that will control your trailer or accessories lights I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # HM11143865. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Subaru's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, either behind the driver's-side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment.
