Can Replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek Fit to Replace Series 6300 Model 6332

Published 03/07/2022

Question:

I have a power converter Series 6300 Model 6332. Still working fine, but very loud buzzing noise is driving me nuts. From research on your site, it appears the direct replacement would be PD4635V. I have 4 questions. 1. The instructions say not to use a converter with higher amps than the one that you currently have. mine is 32amps, PD4635V is 35 amps. will that be OK? 2. Dimensions for my 6332 are 13inch long, 5 1/8inch Tall/wide, and 7 5/8inch deep. Dimensions for the PD4635V are 13 1/4inch Long, 5 3/8inch tall/wide, and 8inch deep. The PD4635V appears to be slightly larger. Not sure I will be able to make it fit in my current converter box. Have you had any issues with this before? 3. Will the buzzing come back after the PD4635V gets some age on it? 4. While I really like the idea of a direct replacement, due to the dimension differences, should I go with the PD4135K?

A 35 amp converter like the # PD4635V will work just fine to replace a 32 amp converter. We've seen several people use this to replace the converter you have now without issue dimensionally.

The buzzing you are experiencing is not going to come back.
