Starting with a hitch for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT42GR. This is a custom-fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. This hitch features a bolt-on installation and a limited lifetime warranty. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 7,500 lbs and max tongue weight of 1,125 lbs.
For wiring, I recommend the Curt Hitch # C27BR. This wiring harness plugs into existing wiring and will provide your customer with a 4-way at the back of the vehicle. To upgrade to a 7-way you will also want the # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else you need for installation.
My recommendation for a brake controller is the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. The main unit for this brake controller installs out of sight, with only the control knob visible. The control knob lets you adjust the braking power and also acts as the manual override. It also uses colored LED lights for simple diagnostics.
For a ball mount, the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 is a great choice. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
