Question:
I installed my 98174 LED light kit and the wiring harness portion going to the driver side light isn’t working when I brake or use the turn signal. The running light works fine. I tested out the wiring harness on the car and it works fine. What are my options for this. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your wiring issue! With the LED Light Kit for Draw-Tite, Tow Ready, Pro Series, and Rola Railed Cargo Carriers # 98174LED, the issue is somewhere in the driver's side trailer wiring. We can conclude this because you said that you tested the LED lights on the vehicle's plug and it worked fine. Since your running lights are working, that is a sign that you are getting auxiliary power. This leads me to believe that the issue lies with the driver's side stop/turn signal wire. I went ahead and attached a trailer wiring diagram to this answer that shows the left stop/turn signal wire in yellow.
With this hunch, I recommend making sure that there isn't any fraying or openings where the wiring is connecting with the trailer's frame. It is also important to make sure that the trailer plug is completely clear of any corrosion build-up that may weaken or eliminate the signal from the lights. If you need a circuit tester to assist you in testing the wiring at different locations, I recommend the # PTW2993.
If you have exhausted these troubleshooting methods and are still having trouble, feel free to respond to this answer and I will assist you further.
