Troubleshooting Maxxair Model 4951 KS With Cover Problems

Question:

My Maxxair model 4951 KS cover will start to open and then close. Then sometimes it will open with no problem. The cover is not sticking or binding. Could this be a faulty rain sensor board? If so, what is my replacement part number? Thank you

This sounds like a problem with the circuit board more than a rain sensor.

I recommend, if you have not already, removing the vent from all power for 1-15 minutes. Let it have a hard reset, use this time to give it a good cleaning if needed. Wipe off the sensor and check to make sure everything looks in good working order.

After you plug it back in if it is still acting a fool I recommend getting a new circuit board. It will be the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents # MA10A04751KS.

And for future use if you do ever have a rain sensor issue you can get them here too. Replacement Rain Sensor for MaxxAir RV or Trailer Roof Vent Fans # MA34FR
